Art Days, Lana Hickman: Join us for these wonderful classes in our art yurt.  Drop-Ins Welcome.  Thursdays, July 8th – August 26th, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Ages:  5 & up.  Free for members/$5 nonmembers.
Summertime Playgroup: Monday mornings come meet other parents, play outside, make toddler music, or get crafty in our art yurt.  Mondays, June 14th – August 30th, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Ages:  Birth – Five.  Free for members.
Bike Shop: Learn how to rebuild a bicycle or repair your own.  Saturdays, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  All ages.  Free!
Ecology Walk, Mathew Wallrath: Learn more about the native ecology of Orcas Island.  This informative nature walk is a beautiful way to explore and learn.  Saturday, July 24th, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Ages:  8 & up. $20.
Make a Music Video, Vicki O’Keefe: Pick your favorite song or use GarageBand to create your own music to make a video in iMovie.  Great activity to do with a group of friends!
Wednesdays, July 21st – August 11th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages: 10 & up.  $100 members/$120 nonmembers.
Young Entrepreneurs, Morgan Meadows: Dream up schemes for the next big business.  Collaborative and hands-on.
Tuesdays/Thursdays, August 10th – August 19th, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Ages:  10 & up.  $120 members/$140 nonmembers.
Dreamweaver, Vicki O’Keefe: Using Dreamweaver learn how to create a Web Page.  Learn how to make links, set key words, and add images.  Thursdays, July 22nd – August 12th.  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages:  13 & up. $100 members/$120 nonmembers.
Photoshop, Vicki O’Keefe: Beginner’s guide to Photoshop.  Learn how to use this top of the line tool to shape your photography into graphic art. Learn to use layers, special tools and repair damaged images.
Tuesdays, July 20th – August 10th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages:  13& up.  $100 members/$120 nonmembers.
Kids and the Creative Arts, Annette Bouchey, LiCSW, This half day workshop is geared towards parents and individuals  who work with children.  Learn activities that promote learning, expression of feelings, and positive self-esteem. Annette has been a play therapist for 20 years and uses arts and crafts in her hands-on approach with children.
Saturday, July 31st, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  $20 members/$25 nonmembers.
MacApps: Learn the various tools on Macintosh computers.  Each week we will take a look at one of the programs:  iPhoto, iMovie, iWeb, Internet use and safety, and InDesign.  Take one workshop or all of them. Check the calendar for specific workshop dates.  Tuesdays, July 6th – August 3rd, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.  $25 for one workshop, or $100 for all five.
Use It or Lose It, Lana Hickman: This class will explore memory games, puzzles, and brainteasers.  For adults and seniors geared toward keeping our brains fit and having fun.
Wednesdays, July 7th – July 28, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Transportation available through the Senior Center.
$40 members/$50 nonmembers.
Beginner Computer Savvy, Vicki O’Keefe: Computer class for adults and seniors designed to teach the basics and beyond.  Call for your specific request and Vicki will come prepared to meet individual needs.  Possiblities include email lessons, Microsoft Word, and other computer applications.
Friday July 23rd and Friday July 30th, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
$30 members/$40 nonmembers.
